It's been months since Aria learned of her mother's death.

Months since Perry became Blood Lord of the Tides, and months since Aria last saw him.

Now Aria and Perry are about to be reunited. It's a moment they've been longing for with countless expectations. And it's a moment that lives up to all of them. At least, at first.

Then it slips away. The Tides don't take kindly to former Dwellers like Aria. And the tribe is swirling out of Perry's control. With the Aether storms worsening every day, the only remaining hope for peace and safety is the Still Blue. But does this haven truly exist? Threatened by false friends and powerful temptations, Aria and Perry wonder, Can their love survive through the ever night?

In this second book in her spellbinding Under the Never Sky trilogy, Veronica Rossi combines fantasy and sci-fi elements to create a captivating adventure—a love story as perilous as it is unforgettable.

Immediately after Under The Never Sky, I viewed this book and read it and it did not disappoint. Perry is now Blood Lord of the Tides. He finally got what he wanted. It was hard for the Tiders to adjust to Perry. Especially when he brought Aria with him after months of not seeing each other.

Roar was given a proper introduction and his growth as a character definitely showed. He is my favorite character in this book. His relationship with Aria grew to this like iron strong friendship. It made me want him as a best friend.

Cinder was in this as well. He is no ordinary kid. He can control the Aether. Yes, he has the Aether in his veins which makes him kind of scary. His constant banter with Perry and Roar, especially Roar, added a bit of humor.

Perry has aged. Well, he's nineteen in the book. But while I was reading it seemed like he's twenty-seven. But I guess that's because he's a Blood Lord and a lot is on his shoulders. He tried to make ends meet. The Aether just hit his tribe leaving them with meager amounts of food. The Tiders are skeptic towards Aria. Perry is keen on looking for the Still Blue, the place without the Aether sky, but he can't leave his tribe behind. For a moment, I kind of feel sorry for him. He wants to be with Aria so bad. But I guess, duties to the tribe comes first.

Liv, Perry's sister, is also introduced in the book. But she didn't last long. Which made me really sad. I really wanted her and Roar to end up together. It sucks a lot okay. I was starting to get to know her and then *poof* she's gone! At the end of the book, Aria and Perry are together once again. But Roar is so distant. (Oh, Roar~)

Sometimes, the second book of the trilogies aren't so spot on. But this one is. It kept up with the pace, adding more adventure and more information about the Still Blue and introduced lots of characters. Most I hate. (ehemKIRRAehemSABLEehemHESS)

  1. I still haven't read this book. HAHA. Anyway, I almost thought that Liv died (or did she?) because you wrote that she's just in the book for a short time and that she and Roar did not end up together.

I love how Perry chose his tribe first before Aria. I guess I have to read this book asap.

I really like your review! <3
