Stacking the Shelves: BBG (Bargains, Borrowed Books, and Gifts!)

Stacking The Shelves is a feature hosted by Tynga’s Reviews where bloggers share what books (both physical and digital) they received, won, bought, and borrowed.

So here's the deal. I haven't done a STS post in a long time. Here it is though! All of these books were gifts, borrowed and bargain finds.

Bargains:
A Clash of Kings by George R.R Martin
The Help by Kathryn Stockett
Past Imperfect by Julian Fellowes

Borrowed:
Hollow City by Ransom Riggs
The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin

Gifts:
Where Rainbows End by Cecilia Ahern
Attachments by Rainbow Rowell
Falling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes
Complete Nothing by Kieran Scott

Each book has a story to tell, on how it landed on my hands. But I'll keep it very simple. I would like to just thank my aunts, and my grandparents for giving me Christmas money for books. To my awesome older sister for sharing the love of books with me as well as to my two good friends, Neil and Anna, for entrusting your books to me.

So, how are you? Bought any good books today?

Stacking the Shelves: On Impulse

Stacking The Shelves is a feature hosted by Tynga’s Reviews where bloggers share what books (both physical and digital) they received, won, bought, and borrowed.

As my post title suggests, yes, my recent book haul is on an impulse. With the Manila International Book Fair right around the corner and one of the major bookstores in my country just cut down their prices on books, well, who wouldn't get impulsive?

Bought:

Mila 2.0 - Debra Driza
Only Everything - Kieran Scott
Forbidden - Tabitha Suzuma
The Golden Lily - Richelle Mead
Shadowland - Alyson Noel

To be signed:

Starters - Lissa Price
The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight - Jennifer E. Smith
This Is What Happy Looks Like - Jennifer E. Smith

Yes, you guessed right. Jennifer E. Smith and Lissa Price is gonna drop by the Philippines this weekend! They'll be over at the Northwing Atrium of SM Cebu on September 19, at the Level 3 Atrium of SM Aura Premier on September 20 and at the SMX Convention Center for the Manila International Book Fair on September 21~ I'm still not sure which venue I'll be attending but one thing's for sure, I will be there! :)

See you guys! :) Happy reading!

Stacking The Shelves: The Gift That Keeps On Giving

Stacking The Shelves is a feature hosted by Tynga’s Reviews where bloggers share what books (both physical and digital) they received, won, bought, and borrowed.

I dedicate this post to my very good friend, Eric Gendrala, whom I had the pleasure meeting and calling him my best friend. I just met him when school started and we hit it off pretty well. He knew about my love for books and when I told him I love John Green, he bought me the John Green novel boxed set. Amazing right?

Looking For Alaska - John Green
Paper Towns - John Green

I have yet to read An Abundance of Katherines and Paper Towns though. I also bought these books since May:

Burn for Burn - Jenny Han
Bloodlines - Richelle Mead
Let The Sky Fall - Shannon Messenger

In a few months, the annual Manila International Book Fair will happen again. And if you're a Filipino living in the Philippines, I suggest you save up for this.
